WAY OFF BROADWAY SUMMER THEATRE CAMP Juniors (1st – 5th grade) June 3 – 8 Seniors (6th – 12th grade) June 10 – 15 The Way Off Broadway Theatre Summer Theatre Camps will be held in June. Junior Theatre Camp (1st-5th Grades) will be held June 3-8 and Senior Theatre Camp (6th-12th Grades) will be held June 10-15. Students will learn theatre basics throughout the week and will perform a full production twice on Saturday. Cost is $75 per student. 4th Of July Parade Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 9 AM – 10 AM Come early to find your spot for our annual 4th of July parade. This year we celebrate 30 years of fireworks and our Grand Marshals will be those dedicated men who fired the first fireworks celebration in Prattville. The parade begins at the Courthouse and winds it’s way downtown, ending at Pratt Park. Registration is required, but there is no entry fee to be in the parade. Come enjoy a free concert, food vendors and kids play area. Stay for one of the best firework shows in the state. No pets, alcohol, weapons or glass bottles allowed.
Cardboard Boat Race Prattville
CARDBOARD BOAT RACE Pratt Pool Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 10:30 am – 12:30 pm Fee: $5 per boat in ADVANCE at Doster Community Center, $8 per boat DAY OF RACE on site. Entertaining is the best way to describe this event! The boat races begin at approximately 10:30am, immediately following the parade. The teams will be creating their competition boats out of cardboard, pool noodles and duct tape. Trophies will be awarded for the Titanic, Most Creative and more. Two people, no more or less, must race on the boats. Pre-registration not required but appreciated. No surfboard type boats, you must start the race by sitting in or on top of your boat. You may use ping pong paddles as oars, and pre-cut boats are allowed, but do not assemble any parts or pieces beforehand.
